Cue Sticks®  is a fun, unique brand that creates motivational products used to inspire people when they need it most.  We make products that help people of all ages reach their goals ... any time and any place. 

It all started when Nancy Shapiro, owner of Cue Sticks®, would write down phrases on little notes to refer to throughout the day.  She thought, "Wouldn't it be great to be able to see them no matter when or where I need them?"

It wasn't long before the first Cue Sticks® temporary tattoo was created.  What started as a quick thought that might have been forgotten soon turned into a way to help inspire others.

Nancy has always loved helping others.  As the youngest of four kids, Nancy always enjoyed playing school with her younger cousins and teaching them new things.  As a child, her favorite book, Nancy Plays Nurse, was about a little girl who cared for her injured stuffed animals. In high school, Nancy wrote daily inspirational notes to help her best friend who was dealing with an eating disorder.  And when her mother, at age 47, was diagnosed with colon cancer, Nancy was there to encourage and support her in the battle any way she could. 

So it seemed to be a no-brainer for Nancy to go into a profession that involved helping others.  And since her weak stomach prevented her from ever going into the medical profession, Nancy opted instead to pursue a career in education.  After graduating from college, she enjoyed teaching elementary school for several years.  It made her so happy to see the kids learn new skills and information that she taught them.  When her two children were born, she took time off to stay at home to raise them...just what she loved to do.  She led both the Cub Scout den and her temple's youth group, and she also volunteered at the kids' schools.  She even invented the Cookie Suite™: a patented time-saving device in which people store and dispense homemade cookie dough.

One day, after putting several sticky notes reminders around the house, Nancy came up with the idea of wearing temporary tattoos so she could have the reminder anytime and anywhere she needed it.  She wore them to help her reach her goals.  And they worked!  Soon her husband, children and friends were asking to wear some, too.  She thought it'd be great to create a variety of them to help others.  It seemed an ideal way to help people reach their goals, get through difficult times and more!

Now, as the owner of Cue Sticks®, it makes her day to hear stories from customers who have benefited from wearing these fun reminders.  To Nancy, nothing compares to the feeling of helping someone else in a time of need.
